Join this informative masterclass, where you’ll be introduced to inclusive strategies to support mental health and wellbeing in educational settings.

According to the Children’s Society, in the last 3 years, the likelihood of young people experiencing a mental health problem has increased by 50%. Children’s happiness continues to decline, with 1 in 6 (NHS Digital) likely to have a mental health problem.

The term growth mindset was introduced by psychologist Professor Carol Dweck, and reminds us of neuroplasticity - the brain’s ability to grow and change over time, particularly when we introduce students to thoughts and concepts that create positive new habits, developing self-regulation tools and progressing towards goals. However, research suggests around 80% of thoughts are negative (fixed-mindset), contributing to student anxiety, frustration, low self-esteem, and giving up when things don’t go to plan.

In this masterclass you’ll learn inclusive tools and creative strategies to improve student engagement, emotional resilience, metacognitive skills, and instil a sense of belonging within the school community.
