A practical approach to getting the basics of data protection right. How to determine the priorities, where to start and dispelling the myths.
Data protection really is the elephant in the room for schools and trusts. But taming the beast will not only improve compliance on paper, but it will also vastly improve efficiency, well-being and save valuable time and money!
In this masterclass we will explore what compliance means in a practical sense and how to achieve it and beyond.
With the requirements of UK GDPR, Data Protection Act 2018, KCSIE 2022 and the new DfE Cyber standards discussed, you will be equipped with a manageable ‘to-do’ list that will provide quick wins and marginal gains which will enable you to respond to requests, manage breaches and reduce complaints.
We will also have a quick look at what the end of the IICSA Enquiry means for school’s records management and the new retention guidance.
