This one-day course has been designed to ensure that lead practitioners are completely up-to-date with their safeguarding obligations in early years settings to remain compliant and effective.
The Early Years Foundation Stage makes it clear that in every setting there must be a practitioner designated to take the lead responsibility to safeguard children. Furthermore, this lead practitioner must undertake child protection training which enables then to identify, understand, and respond to signs of abuse and neglect.

You will come away with detailed understanding of why children in the EYFS are particularly vulnerable and your role in safeguarding them. Our expert speakers will talk you through the signs and symptoms of abuse and how you can spot them, improve staff awareness and take steps where needed to report concerns.
