Your new on demand course

The SEND review is clear that improvements need to be made schools to ensure that all children and young people have the opportunity to thrive. Providing outstanding, targeted pastoral care for students with SEN can help you to achieve that.

This brand new course has been designed and written by Sam Garner, a leading expert in pastoral care, mental health and SEN. Sam will help you to understand your legal responsibilities for students with SEN and how this impacts the provision of pastoral care.

You will go on to explore some of the more frequently diagnosed special education needs, their characteristics and how you can improve your pastoral care to support better outcomes. Finally you will look at how you can take a more strategic approach, using evidence based research to improve your whole-school approach.
