Preparing for School Inspection Conference 2023

News and presentations from today's conference focusing on all aspects of school inspections. 

Ofsted will be inspecting all schools by the end of the summer term 2025 to assess how well they are recovering post-pandemic. For most schools this will be the first inspection under the 2019 Education Inspection Framework. With the Schools’ Bill setting out plans to raise education standards, schools are set to be under more scrutiny than ever.

• Curriculum design: how to build an ambitious, broad and balanced, and planned and sequenced curriculum
• Curriculum delivery: how to translate curriculum plans into effective classroom practice in a way that leads to long-term learning
• Curriculum evaluation: how to assess your curriculum to ensure it fully prepares pupils for the next stages of their education and lives

Matt opened his talk by explaining that 'Curriculum is the why and the what of education'

Matt went on to say 'Its useful for all our staff to have an understanding of what Ofsted look our for' 

On teaching Matt said 'Its about what we do to fully prepare pupils for future sucess'. Matt also said on judging curriculum intent 'There are high ambitions for all pupils' 'We want them to have high expectations for themselves - this helps them to succeed.
